A mention by Robin Russell, excellent.  Yes Statzpack at its core is a simple to use notational analysis system for soccer. So if you are looking to observe and record certain playing behaviour/outcomes (not just who scored, shots etc), its good for that too. You can effectively customise what you tag/record - even simple '+ & -' .

We did some work with a premier league team back in 2009, and when they couldnt avail of prozone, they used a basic Positive and Negative measure scale - where they had a defined set of behaviors/events which were deemed to be either or.

In the US, some coaches are using the system to track the performance evaluation criteria set out in the US Soccer curriculum.

Tim - thanks for the note.  100%, not here to self promote.  This is a great site.

Yes I will be in Kansas. Would be great to meet up.  We will be joining the USASA.

We carried out a research piece with the NSCAA this year looking at the use of stats in the US soccer coaching community.  Will post something soon.

Thanks for the welcome and the information Tim! I'm just trying to explore, educate and research so that I can bring the best possible product to Northern Nevada. I look forward to everything that soccerinteractive.com has to offer! I've already found some valuable information and would be completely interested in any educational webinars or eLearning that you offer. It's a bit difficult to find local resources and soccerinteractive makes it easier to connect with those with greater experience than I. Thanks again! Look for my other coaches signing up in the near future!

Yes Tim, though I am also trying to find out how to create my own custom practice session plan, bringing in available activities.  Also it would be nice if there was a way if I was working with someone from Soccerplus, to be able to share custom sessions.

Cheers,

-Lyndon-

Thanks Tim for your warm welcome and for taking the time to review my company, Class Athlete. I will spend some time this week reading through many of the blogs and comments from so many coaches and soccer enthusiasts on your site. I hope to contribute as much as I can of my experience to the online community.

Tim,
Nothing new to report here in Chicago. So far we're lagging behind most of the MLS in home grown first team signings, but we're hoping that will change in the near future.
We're perhaps a little more selective than most about signing youth to professional contracts, but it's all relative. The youth system at the Fire is undergoing some positive changes to try and stay ahead of the youth development game.
More later!

Tim, thank you for the warm welcome. I hope that I will continue to gain new ideas and perspectives from other members in the group. Soccer Vision Global focuses on individual player development and leadership skills. We also assist and support coaches from a consulting standpoint in their personal coaching development.
